I had quite an exciting time in Panama and now I am on the island where my wife and I met four years ago. She is coming here together with her family and we will all spend some time together. While in Panama I went spear fishing with my buddy Joe and a questionable local character, but it actually turned out great. I also visited the Trump Tower and won $70 at a Blackjack table.
Bad luck hit me as the $10 local poker tournament got canceled because of the heaviest rain I've ever seen. Otherwise, it's been a really interesting week, having quite an adventure with a taxi driver and learning about the mating ritual of certain bird species. Now I'm at a place called Las Lajas, a very beautiful and untouched beach with almost no wifi connection.

This is a quick podcast from my holiday in Panama with my buddy, Joe, where we talk about some fun activities such as snorkeling and napping. To my surprise, there is a small poker tournament held a local hostel with a $10 buy-in. In the next episode I will discuss some of the hands from that tournament.
Mike and Steve haven't talked to each other in a while, so they've been catching up with stuff that has happened recently in their lives, such as going to Vegas and Steve's Amazon business. They've also discussed a strategy hand. There is a brief appearance from Mike's special guest.

I've been delighted to have Greg Raymer for this episode, who is the 2004 WSOP champion and HPT's 2012 player of the year. We talked about reasoning, psychological strategies, emotion reading and teaching seminars. We went really in-depth with a couple of strategy hands, one that I have brought up and the second being a hand from the final table of the 2004 WSOP Main Event - seeing his thought process throughout.

Besides playing poker, Clayton also does comedy gigs that he usually books along with poker tournaments. Ben lives in Bangkok and has his own podcast where I have been a guest, and he has also written a book on Postflop strategies. I met Anthony on Twitter and we were quickly talking on the phone. He is a 23 year old Mortuary Apprentice and a smart poker player, and it didn't take me long before I realized this kid knew how to play cards. We agreed to record a podcast on the spot, and 2 hours later, here we are!
This episode is strategy for online micro stakes. These hands are from the site Bovada, the anonymous American poker site that does not allow screen names or have synchronized breaks. Thank you for listening!

Here we are coming to you from Oceanside California. Carlos has flown over 3000 miles, I drove 4 hours in Los Angeles traffic, and Mike has walked down the street from his house. We are huddled in a little hotel room around a small coffee table, and a microphone with a sock over it; Mike and I have chairs, and Carlos is sitting on the corner of the bed.
We talk over prop bets, filming Mike's next series, and summing up the last 2 days of poker.

Mike comes back to fill us in on his latest project; POKER PRO: Year 1. You can watch it by clicking here.
Mike: "How hard is it to survive in poker? I'm not entirely sure...wish I had the answer before I quit my job, moved to California, and decided to become a professional poker player. Can I thrive and prosper? Will I be getting a minimum wage job soon or can I make it through the year, taking care of my son and meeting all my obligations, with poker profits alone? The stakes are high in Poker Pro: Year One as I fight to survive and make my dreams come true. Along the way I will interact with other pros with knowledge and love of the game of poker."
